Getting certified may include taking a class for a certain amount of time and taking the required tests to be certified. Here are some examples of job opportunities that require certifications:

PARALEGAL

A paralegal is an assistant by definition but the responsibility is higher and requires a high level of professionalism. With enough experience a paralegal can have the same knowledge a lawyer would. The difference between a lawyer and a professional paralegal is that lawyers have qualification from a law school. A paralegal also cannot represent or advise clients, and sign documents.

A paralegal's typical assignments are doing paperwork, helping young attorneys, dealing with marriages, mortgages, wills, trusts and divorces. The amount of information to learn in a short amount of time can be overwhelming to a new paralegal. Paralegals do most of the researching so that the lawyers have time to be in court, meet with clients, and discuss strategies with their partners. A paralegal can choose to work for the government or for a private firm. Paralegals must have a pleasant personality and must know what it means to be "politically correct" when needed. They also must be able to work under stress and deadlines, and must be able to read and research at a fast rate and must be very organized. The job description includes a variety of tasks and requires skills, ambition, an open mind and diligence.

COURT REPORTER

A court reporter enters, transcribes, records, stores, and maintains information in written and electronic form in verbatim proceedings of courts, legislative assemblies, committee meetings, and other events. most court reporters work in courts, law offices, and government agencies.

Most court reporters are responsible for recording and transcribing accurate communications, storing and retrieving recordings, and providing clerical support as required. Several methods are used to accurately record proceedings. The most common method is Stenographic. The steno type machine records all statements made during the proceeding, the words are captured in a phonetic code where each line of characteristics represents a sound or syllable, it is then translated as a written transcript. Communications access real time translation (CART) sometimes requires real time captioning and the steno type machine is connected to a computer and text is displayed on a screen. Another method of court reporting is voice writing. A voice silencer connected to a computer ensures the voice of the court reporter isn't heard while recording information since the court reporter is capturing the proceeding through spoken word instead of the typed word, and a written transcript is prepared after from the recordings. a popular method of court recording is electronic reporting. It utilizes audio equipment, including analog and digital to record proceedings and a written transcript is also prepared afterwards.

AUTO INSURANCE APPRAISER

An auto insurance appraiser's responsibilities are to analyze statistical data, such as morality, accident, sickness, disability, and retirement rates and construct probability tables to forecast risks and liability for payment of future benefits. They may ascertain premium rates required and cash reserves necessary to ensure payment of future benefits.

An appraiser arranges to have damage appraised by another appraiser to resolve disagreement with shop on repair costs, determine salvage value on total-loss vehicle, estimate parts and labor to repair damage, evaluate practicality of repair as apposed to payment of market value of vehicle before accident, and examine damaged vehicle to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical, electrical, or interior damage. MASSAGE THERAPIST



Massage therapist relieve discomfort and ease muscle tension to their clients. They learn their clients medical history to determine what kind of massage to give that would be most beneficial, measure the condition of the clients soft tissues, the joint function and quality, range of motion and muscle strength. They propose specific treatment plan for the client, when the clients needs have been established the massage therapist then massages the clients soft tissues and muscles to provide the treatment that has been determined, they prepare and blend massage oils and apply them during the massage. They may also confer with physiotherapist, chiropractors, and doctors in order to design the proper treatment plan for the client, and refer client to different therapists if the clients condition will benefit from it. Lastly they educate the client on posture and teach then strengthening, stretching, and rehabilitative exercises.

EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN (EMT)  



EMTs are medical professionals who provide emergency medical and trauma care that includes assessment and when appropriate, measure aimed at stabilizing a patient so that they may be transported to a trauma center or hospital. Specific job responsibilities are determined by the emergency medical service providers certification, which reflects they level of training.

MEDICAL TRANSCRIPTIONIST

A medical transcriptionist's job is to listen to audio files made by physicians and other health care personnel. The recordings are usually listened to on a headset that can be paused with a foot pedal and the text is then keyed into a word processing program or personal computer system. It's carefully edited for grammar and clarity errors then the recordings are returned to the health professionals for corrections and signatures.

For someone looking to buy a home a real estate broker's job is to find potential homes that fit clients desires and their budget, and organize home visits. They also help negotiation of purchase and helps organize appraisal, home inspection, and the home closing. Now for someone who is looking to sell the real estate broker's job is to help determine the proper sale price, stage the home for sale, market it to the general public, and negotiate with potential buyers.
